The Disorienting Beauty of a Spiraling Staircases in Old Abandoned Buildings There really wasn't much on this website but i just looked through all the photos and read the small amount there was to read and then I picked my favorite. a. I picked this photo because I like the metal staircase and the square architecture and the angle the        photo was taken from. b. Lines because the staircase leads to the bottom, and framing because the staircase is framing the          floor. c. Christian Richter took the photo. a. On this website there was a collection of photos taken by Christian Richter of spiral staircases in          abandoned buildings. I also saw a short biography about the photographers life like where he came      from and what his field was. b. I guess I learned that you have to look for the right place to shoot a photo and it might take some        t...

photo 1: 1. I really like this photo because of the architecture of the house. The caption underneath the photo just giving background information about the photographer and       the architect who built the home in Hollywood Hills. 3. Julius Shulman - born October 10, 1910 in Brooklyn, New York.   photo 2: 1. magazine part 2

Image based magazine covers are when a photographer has one or more people taking a picture when they are looking at the camera, preferably smiling. Illustration based magazine covers are when a company will hire an artist to draw a magazine cover, these are usually not found at news stands. Type based covers are used to convey a message in a aesthetically pleasing way, usually without a photo in the background or at least not of a person. Concept based covers are used to tell the reader what they will find in there magazine like it will be related to travel if it was a travel guide.

You’ll find a lot of interesting design techniques on this   Feld   cover including blocky typography, transparencies and a quirky image. All are rendered in sepia tones giving the cover a nostalgic feel while still being distinctly modern and contemporary. The photo is taken really well the only major problem I have with the photo is the big white box blocking part of the picture. I don't know if they were meaning to do that or if it was a mistake but it makes the cover look really bad and from what I can see it has no relevant information so it seems like it was just a waste that made the photo look bad. Also I do not know what magazine this is so I don't know the information they have in their magazine but there is no information on the cover and usually there is that sort of thing so i do not find it interesting in any way other than the photo.

portrait tips

1.  Looking off camera –   have your subject focus their attention on something unseen and outside the field of view of your camera. This can create a feeling of candidness and also create a little intrigue and interest as the viewer of the shot wonders what they are looking at. 2. Experimenting with light -  Another element of randomness that you can introduce to your portraits is the way that you light them. There are almost unlimited possibilities when it comes to using light in portraits. 3. Frame your subject - framing is a technique where you draw attention to one element of an image by framing it with another. environmental portrait: I liked how there was a person in the background cutting someones hair, also this just really shows who he is and he is a barber. I like how he is just standing there but as he looks at the camera it looks like he is just doing his thing. casual portrait: I like the sun in the background and I like the lighting. ...
